The Albert Basin Park Project seeks to develop a new state-of-the-art city park on the Albert Basin site Newry and the Newry 2020 inspired and led project is racking up it's campaign a notch with thousands of leaflets distributed to homes throughout Newry this week.
The people of Newry own The Albert Basin/Middlebank, an unrealised gem near the City Centre. It is a great location, between two waterways, at the head of Carlingford Lough, with stunning views. The Albert Basin Park Project seeks to develop this magnificent site into a much needed Green Public Space for the people of Newry.
The Park Petition at change.org/p/newry-needs-a-central-park is also going from strength to strength and over 3000 people have already signed.

This park is a once in a generation project and if the Albert Basin site is sold or developed for offices it will be lost forever.
